Steps of Watch Repair (Full Maintenance)

Repair Cost Assessment
The repair cost depends on the complexity of the watch movement and its overall condition. An accurate estimate can be provided within a few days after receipt.

Movement
The watch movement is disassembled. A simple movement consists of approximately 150 components. At this stage, the condition of the movement is diagnosed, and all parts are cleaned to remove dust and lubricants.

Case and Bracelet
Cleaning the case and bracelet is crucial to remove all residues and prepare the surfaces for finishing, preventing scratches caused by particles or metal filings. Polishing of cases and bracelets is done upon customer request. Finishing may include minor touch-ups or extensive interventions requiring specialized techniques. This work is performed by an experienced watchmaker, relying on skill and craftsmanship. There is a limit to the number of finishes that can be applied during the lifetime of a watch.

Assembly
A final inspection is conducted after all case-related interventions. Water-resistance is checked, and the movement is assembled in a dust-free environment. Components are assembled in a precise sequence, including lubrication of specific parts. Adjustments are made during and after assembly to ensure perfect functionality and accuracy according to manufacturer specifications. The dial and hands are then installed, the movement is placed into the case, and the watch is sealed after removing any remaining moisture.

Final Inspection
The watch undergoes a comprehensive inspection focusing on technical performance and overall appearance. The proper function of the watch is monitored for 48 hours.
